How did you author the outline for the docs and make it appear as an outline in the documentation outline?

The outline is written in Frontier, and I took about ten minutes to write a custom renderer for it.

Does it render the enclosure? I would be *really* handy to be able to do that with opml documents, especially of, say, OmniOutliner were to begin support for opml...

No, it just renders the outline on my desktop, and I pasted it into the message. I didn't have time to be that fancy, sorry.

Since OPML files are mostly in the realm of Radio, I recommen using the plethora of OPML renderers that are available there.

Actually, you can use any outline renderer, since Radio opens OPML files as outlines. But Conversant doesn't yet do automatic OPML rendering.
